This modern take on the classic tale puts the familiar cast of characters in a whole new light. This updated version of the classic story unveils the villain’s perspective. Join the cast of Snow White, all seven Dwarves, the handsome but tongue-tied Prince, the not-quite-so-evil-but-certainly-misunderstood Witch, a very sassy mirror, and a dancing chicken in a romp the whole family will love! This is NOT your traditional Snow White.

Cast of Characters

Narrator: (male or female, 18+) onstage, interactive with characters and audience; friendly and personable

Witch: (female, 25+) Evolves from abandoned child to drama queen; able to “transform” into old woman

Mirror: (male, 18+) Moody fashionista; loves to play head games with the queen; one day she’s fabulous - some days, don’t even talk to him

Old King: (male, 18+) Really old, “Oy, my back” old; small part, will probably double with Handsome/Price

Handsome/Prince: (male, 18+) Sweet, boy-next-door type; scared (appropriately so) of the queen; when the spell is broken, turns back into a charming prince

Snow: (female, 16+) flaky but loveable and sweet, has a lot of love to give; a bit naïve

Dwarves (Grouchy, Gesundheit, Snoozy, Doofy, Gleeful, Teach, Timid): (male and female, 14+) Each has his/her main characteristic. The bigger/larger than life, the better, tall is good, but not required. All types welcome! These actors will also double in other small parts of the show as needed.

Chicken: (male or female, 14+) Snow’s best friend (really), small part, will double.

Audition Information

Monday, June 15th at 7:00pm
Tuesday, June 16th at 7:00pm

No prepared monologue is necessary, sides will be provided.
